stawberriesIt's summertime in the UK and yes, it is sunny! Andy Murray is taking centre stage at Wimbledon carrying our hopes on his shoulders. As they near the end of their course we've been helping our students re-evaluate 'success' through considering how to make a difference in the world the Jesus way where you win looking like you are losing - dying to self, seeking to serve and walking the way of the cross. Please pray for them at this challenging time of transition.

Every blessing, Simon.
Applications

We have now received 23 applications for September, which is good, but we'd love to have 40! We have an Open Day  Thursday 25th June, please encourage anyone thinking of coming to visit us or apply soon!
Entertaining Inspectors...

We are in the process of seeking Accreditation which will enable us to continue to receive applicants from non-EU countries. Our Inspection took place during May and we expect to hear news of whether our application was successful in July.

We very much saw God's hand at work during the Inspectors visit and those of us in the 'hot seat' felt very supported by the prayers of the saints, we greatly appreciate your part in that!

An article on the BBC website recently disclosed that the approved list of colleges for sponsoring UK student visas has shrunk dramatically following the introduction of the new regulations by the Border Agency. There had been about 15,000 public and private educational institutions on the government's register. The new list, vetted by the UK Border Agency, now only has 1,500 institutions registered. So here's to KBCTC becoming 1,501!

We're doing the Ten Tors to raise £10,000!

The Challenge will take place in deepest Devon on Dartmoor, tackling its moors and ticking off its tors. The staff team* will compete against a student team to complete a course of 35 miles in 36 hours. Moreover, the team that raises the most support wins the right to impose fancy dress on the opposing team!

The aim is to raise £10,000 for the development of KBCTC, which will include validating the course and developing the new third term tracks this next year, with more exciting developments to follow.

We don't want to wear fancy dress! Sponsor the staff team so we don't have to!

*The staff team consists of Simon Shaw, Paul Hettler, Dave Munday, Mark Eley, Mark Coghlan, Beth Coghlan, Charles Hippsley, and Simon Cox. How far do you think we'll get!? Why not pledge per Tor? Get involved!

Moving Forward: 2020>vision

We are training our students to put 'Theology in Action' and God has been speaking to us about restructuring our third term to launch students into effective ministry in line with the new UK Salt & Light 2020 vision.

Go to Plant Churches, Lead and Equip, Transform Society, Mainland Europe, Unreached Peoples

Our third term will form a launch pad where students will get lots of opportunity to outwork their studies in practical, hands-on ways both in the UK and overseas. Know of someone this would benefit? We can send them more information, or they can contact us for details.
With every blessing,
the KBCTC Team.
