KTC has been undergoing some exciting changes in the last few years. We are stepping forward into new things whilst taking with us the best of all we have learned over the past 27 years.
It is our conviction that people from all walks of life have a part to play in God’s plan and our aim is to see students sent out from KTC full of theology, character and passion to make a difference in the world.
The College offers a fully validated course in Theology and Ministry (Cert HE). New for 2011 are a number of additional ‘streams’; Full-Time, Part-time and Home & Away (Follow links for details).
Introduction to the Bible
What is the Bible and where did it come from? An introduction to interpreting Scripture, gaining tools for unpacking Scripture at a deeper level. Getting to grips with God’s Big Story and its relevance today through studying the Pentateuch, History Books, Prophets, Gospels and New Testament Letters in the Old and New Testament Modules
The Development of Christian Faith in History
Development of Christianity over the centuries. Key historical influencers, their lives and the changed shape and belief of the Church. Doctrines of the person and work of Christ, the Trinity and the life of the Church.
Spirit and Church in a Mission Context
The person, work and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Scriptural teaching on worship and the people of God. Understanding the role of the Spirit in ministry and the history of the Church, opportunities for application in a practical church placement.
Church and Culture
Introduction to worldview, culture, post-modernity and their implications for Christian life today. Key issues for Christian ministry in a multi-faith society. Christian responses to local and global issues in the 21st century.
Practical Ministry Placement
Chance to ‘get out of the classroom’ and learn in the ‘field’. Includes trip overseas plus ministry placements in areas such as: church planting; leading and equipping leaders; transforming society; mission to mainland Europe; and unreached peoples.
We are committed to creating a loving and supportive community in which to learn, helping you wrestle and engage with the Scriptures as you are taught by tutors from around the world. Together with your fellow students you will search for biblical truth and wisdom in an atmosphere of humility, worship and wholehearted devotion.
